The Long Sit

Jib here.

Mom says I am getting reliable. I can sit. I can stay. I can do them both at the same time.

Especially when I am next to my friends.

My little friends.

My furry friends.

My friends that look like me.

Only smaller.

Much smaller.

Obedience Trial

Jib here.

Mom and I went to a dog show. It was to show off how obedient Mom is. She was.

Me, not so much. I tried. I tried my best.

But I wasn't perky. I wasn't bouncy.

I just didn't feel well. Not at all.

So we Not-Quited again.

But Mom says my broad jump was perfect. She was happy with my heeling and my drop on recall. I forgot all about the dumbbell, though. I couldn't remember what to do. And I didn't want to jump over the high jump either.

Mom hugged me anyway. She says there's always another dog show.

But there will never be another Jibby.

A B Day

Sailor here.

Mom said the B word. Again.

This time, she said, it tolled for me.

Hmmmph.

Agility!

Jib here.

I am tired. I am very tired. Mom says we had a long day.

Mom woke me up in the dark and remembered to give me breakfast. We drove a long way around curves and turns. And we ended up at an agility field!

I barked and I peed and I was measured. I am 24" tall.

Mom put me in my crate and I slept. And woke up. And slept. And woke up. And got out and trotted and pooped and peed. And got back in my crate.

And then I said Hello to Aunt Judy and Tavish. I said Hello to a tree and a wall, too. And I dozed some more.

Finally we ran. We ran and I jumped and tunneled and weaved. I weaved two times. I tunneled two times, too!

Mom was thrilled. She said I did everything she asked me to! She said I even went into the wrong end of the tunnel because I was so tuned in on what her body was telling me to do.

So we Not-Quited.

But I got steak for dinner.

Mom says we can do it again tomorrow.

I hope I can sleep in, though. I am tired.

So tired.

The B Word. Again.

Sailor here.

Mom said the B word.

She looked at me. She looked at Jib.

Then she swooped up Baby Will.

I know just how he feels.

Fishing

Jib here.

Mom and Katy and the two oldest girls went fishing.

They fished in the heater.

They fished out a lot of stuff.

They used a grabber thingie. They used the loud sucky machine.

Sailor got to bark at the loud sucky.

I stood back and watched. Way back.

They found pencils and pens and forks and caribiners and hair clips and puzzle pieces. Mom says they found the entire sub-Saharan continent in puzzles pieces. Katy says they have been missing for quite a while.

Mom says the littlest girl likes to throw things into bigger things. And she threw lots of stuff into the heater.

But she didn't throw in any dog cookies.

Bah. Humbug.
