Jib here.

Mom, Sailor, Zoe and I went walking today. We sniffed ivy. We sniffed bushes. We sniffed weeds.

Mom says we all came home covered in Brrrrrs.

Zoe says Mom says Brrrrr when it's really cold. Zoe says Brrrrrs must be icicles.

I am confuzled. So is Sailor.

It is hot. It is not cold. My Brrrrrs are not cold. Sailor says his aren't either. They are just stuck. Very, very stuck.

I have Brrrrrs stuck to my feathers, my belly, my ruff and my kilts. Even my tail is stuck.

The Box

Jib here.

Mom is helping me SitStay. She says it's a problem.

I didn't know I had a problem. But she says I do. So now she is reminding me to keep my bum on the floor. Or the grass. Or the deck.

She uses The Box. And she gives me cookies in the box.

Sailor is jealous.

I am happy.

Jib here.

I was asleep on the grass. Minding my own business.

The birds were chirping. The bees were buzzing.

One buzzed onto my foot. I twitched.

Mom gave me a little red pill. She said that was all she could do for me.

I am still limping.

Bye, Jays

Sailor here.

Our Grands are gone. They went back to Maine.

Our Jays are gone, too. Mom says they fledged. She kept us inside while they fledged. She said Jib would eat them.

Jib barked at the window. I woofed to keep him company.

The Jays fluttered. Then they flew.
Their JayMama screamed and dive-bombed Mom's camera. Then she took her children and they all went away.

Maybe they went to Maine.

Quiet, very quiet

Jib here.

It's quiet. Very, very quiet. It's so quiet my ears are ringing.

The Grandgirls are gone. They took their Mom with them.

No more cheese sticks. No more Cheerios. No more sandwiches and cookies.

I want them to come back!

Our Fledglings

Jib here.

Mom won't let me play with the baby birds.

They are ready to fly.

They screech like their Daddy.

They screech like their Mommy.

But Mom won't let me screech back.

Happy Birthday, Zoe!

Sailor here.

Happy birthday, Zoe!

Mom says she is 15 years old today. That is OLD!

Happy birthday, Zoe.

Can I have some of your cake?
